The search for success is something natural in the life of each of us and it is normal because God created us for it. However, it is important to know how to define what success is in order to ensure that it is achieved. The best definition of success seems to me to be simply being able to accomplish what God created us for (cf. Ephesians 2.10) in order to one day hear His words “well, good and faithful servant you have been faithful in few things, I t 'will establish over many, enter into the joy of your master ”(cf. Matthew 25.21). What could be more important than this affirmation from our Lord?

To experience this, we are invited to change our scale of values to focus on what is essential for God. And the human being is what is most important to Him, which means that our neighbor should always be at the heart of where we invest our lives. Before going any further, let's come back for a moment to the question of success, there is also a dimension of sustainability here, which remains in the future after the departure of a person. Our perspective is eternity and the only thing that will accompany us in eternity are human beings, which means that the only way to be successful is to impact eternity, therefore the people who surround us… So let us choose to establish as a scale of measure of success for our lives, our capacity to allow others to succeed.

This is exactly the promise made to us here by Isaiah, because when it is spoken of sons, it does not mean only the children that we could have begotten in the flesh, but also those that we begot by the Spirit. . A son is a person for whom we invest our lives, for whom we give ourselves for his success. Choosing to say my success is their success involves investing our lives in enabling others to be successful. And again this success is determined, it is a question of being a disciple of the Lord.

We are invited to give of ourselves to allow the world around us to not only meet Christ as Lord and Savior, but to engage in a life following Him to become in His image and likeness; that in order to do His works. Investing to make disciples is giving up yourself to give yourself for others. Or to put it another way, it is recognizing that our lives are a seed that we plant in good soil, the lives of others (cf. John 3:30) to allow them to develop and accomplish what God has planned. . It is helping the other rather than seeking to be helped, blessing rather than seeking the blessing, etc.

What will engender in them a great prosperity… Here is a word which is too often misunderstood. Prosperity simply means having more than you need to share, to give abundantly. And what is the greatest wealth, again the human being… Which means that the prosperity of the disciples whom we support is the capacity to do the same, to know how to regard their success as the fact of propelling others into success? . To put it more simply, to give oneself to make disciples who in turn make disciples, etc. This is the way that Christ opened in His earthly ministry, His success was to enable His disciples to succeed. They did the same, giving themselves up for others, etc. and that until us today ...

God has planned for His kingdom to come and His will to be accomplished in this way ... Close your eyes for a moment and imagine what your world will be like when you invest your life for the success of others and they will do the same ... WOW, great isn't it? So don't wait another moment to start taking action to make your success their success!

God blessed you richly so that you bless abundantly ...
