Imagine the scene… A few moments ago, Jesus is going to declare that Peter is happy because he has a revelation that comes from heaven (cf. Matthew 16:17) and now, Jesus is going to say that Peter's words come from satan… Wow, what a change and what a radicality in the words of Christ to reject the lie which came from the mouth of Peter. It is this same radicalism that we must have with regard to the lie. And what allows Jesus to react in this way is love ...

Love is always rooted in truth and truth is nothing but what God says, His Word is truth. The truth is that Jesus knows the love that the Father has for Him, (cf. Luke 3:22), He is rooted in this revelation. He also knows His mission and out of love for the Father and for us He will have to suffer and die on the cross. For love, He does not want to leave His disciples in ignorance, it is for this reason that He warns them. If Jesus rejects the lie of Peter's words, it is because He wants His last to prepare for what is to come. The lie is perverse because it masks the truth and gives us to live in illusions. As Jesus calls us to abide in His love and live in His reality to write His History.

The lie has only one source, the father of the lie who is the devil (cf. John 8:44) and he always comes to oppose the thought of God. It is for this reason that Jesus calls us to be radical with regard to him. Confronting the lie can only be done to the extent that we know the truth of what God is saying. God loves you, you are an important and valuable person, so don't let anyone tell you or make you believe otherwise! It is up to you to reject all the words which are spoken to you and which oppose His truth. Affirm His Word in your heart in order to live in the truth of His love ...

Another example of the lie to be rejected concerns sickness, in Christ not only were you healed (cf. 2 Peter 2:24), but He intended you to live in good health (cf. 3 John 2). Reject the lie of the disease and the fear of the latter, you do not have to be sick, it is not normal ... There is a real fight here ... Another thing, it is the lie to believe that if God loves us we will not have trials and difficulties… God loves you and you will be tested, on the other hand He will be with you and will give you a way out (cf. 1 Corinthians 10:13)…

There is no compromise to be made with lying, Jesus was not afraid to hurt Peter with the truth, for He loved him. And only the truth sets free (cf. John 8:32). God expects you to live in His freedom, but also that you allow the people around you to live in freedom… So start aligning your heart with His truth and your mouth saying what God says about them. people around you proclaiming His love, His call, His possibilities, etc.

God has blessed you richly so that you bless abundantly ...
