When I was younger, I often heard that we had to serve someone else's vision first before God could give us a vision. The examples given were generally those of Joshua who served Moses or Elisha with Elijah. Which implied a dimension of hierarchy, position and promotion… Things which have no place in the Kingdom of God and in the Church. In reality, Joshua never served the vision of Moses, just as Elisha did not with Elijah… They served together the vision of God for His people. To believe that this is our vision is to recognize that we are building for ourselves, in our own interests. Which is selfish and limiting. If what is in your heart you can do it alone or in your lifetime, it is far too small for it to come from God!

God has much bigger plans, He works on generations and with teams ... So it is up to us to choose to align ourselves with Him to enter and serve His vision with those He places around us for it. to live… This is what Paul means when he says: “to the point where we have come”. If you take the time to read the preceding verses, Paul makes it clear that he views everything as a loss and that his only goal is to know Him (cf. Philippians 3: 8-10). That his life is entirely devoted to obtaining the price of the celestial vocation (cf. Philippians 3:14), in other words to fulfilling His vision for his life ... And that being a mature disciple is to make same (cf. Philippians 3:15) is to live the same knowing that the Holy Spirit will reveal His vision so that we can enter into it. It is therefore a question of giving up our own vision in order to receive that of God ...

Knowing something is good, however it is totally useless if we do not put it into practice ... It is therefore up to each of us to decide to move forward, to put ourselves into action to live in His vision by doing what is necessary for the latter to become a reality. This is about being very practical and concrete, while remaining persistent. What is God's vision for your life, what must you do to make it a reality? What training should you follow, where should you go, what should you invest, what should you give up, what do you need to change in your daily life, etc…? Take a moment to stand before God and make the necessary decisions.

There it's done ? Awesome ! Stand firm in your decisions and remain available to the Holy Spirit because to move forward you have to take step by step and there are other decisions that you will have to make on a regular basis. Here Paul uses the word “together”, which implies different people, because as I said above God calls us to work as a team. Who do you need to develop relationships with? Who are the people God has placed around you to walk together to serve His vision? Again speak with the Holy Spirit, open your eyes and your heart… You will see that there are people of great qualities who are there. And being together is a matter of unity, being a heart and a soul (cf. Acts 4:32) in Christ and for His vision - His reign - to be fulfilled.

Now it's up to you… God is calling you to write His History, you have a place and a role to play in His great vision, so don't let anything limit or hold you back. Choose to consider everything that prevents you from living to His measure as loss, seek His presence, let Him lead you in His vision and open your heart to those around you to walk in unity under His direction…

God has blessed you richly so that you bless abundantly ...
