When I was a child, while I was on vacation with my grandparents, I did something stupid... My reaction was to do my best to hide things and hide behind a mask of everything is fine... My grand - Mom knowing what had happened approached me, not to scold me but to show me her love. This experience marked me and gave me a real life lesson, namely it is useless to want to hide our mistakes. However, I soon noticed that it was not easy. When we do wrong, we are all in the same situation of wanting to hide behind the “everything is fine” mask and not let anyone know what we have done. It's human because we are ashamed, we feel guilty and we don't want to be judged, etc. The root of this comes from this event where Adam and Eve disobeyed God and found themselves separated from Him… However there is a solution!

In this account we see that when Adam and Eve heard the voice of God, they hid because they were afraid (cf. Genesis 3:10). They were aware of their error and their guilt. In the same way for us when we act badly, when we disobey, we know it and we feel guilty, which generates in us the fear of punishment, the fear of judgment, of disappointing… and guilt. This can lead to wanting to hide behind masks where we pretend that everything is fine, or behind good deeds to try to redeem ourselves, or isolation. You know what it is for your life… However God comes to meet us.

God comes to meet Adam and Eve with the evening breeze, which reveals a certain sweetness and tranquility… God does not come towards them to condemn or accuse them but out of love. In the same way for us, it is because He loves us that He comes to meet us because He knows how much we need Him. His presence reveals our sin, separation from Him, but His presence reveals to us the cross by which we are forgiven and reconciled. Even before we were born, Jesus came to give himself on the cross out of love for us (cf. Romans 5:8). Even before our sin, God has already provided for us to be forgiven, it is for this reason that He comes to meet us, so that we enter into His forgiveness and His presence.

Whatever your situation today, don't try to hide and don't let yourself be accused. God is looking for you, He is coming to meet you to reveal His love to you and give you His life. He desires to walk with you and lead you in His extraordinary plans for your life… What are the areas of your life where you need to welcome His presence? Take a moment to talk to Him and welcome His presence, repent where needed and enter into His grace….

Finally, the world needs us and God sends us to others not to judge them but to reveal His love and bring the message of the Gospel. Just as He drew near to us, He draws near to them to reveal the cross and salvation through our testimony… So together, let us be His witnesses!

God has blessed you richly so that you bless abundantly ...
