Our knowledge will determine our way of living and acting ... So for example, it is because you know that water cannot support your weight that you do not try to walk on water. This seems obvious to you, and yet it is because Peter knew that Jesus' words are a solid foundation that he got out of the boat to meet Jesus (cf. Matthew 14: 28-29). His knowledge determined his action which seemed to be completely foolish… Too often we are limited and wasted in our lives by a lack of knowledge (cf. Hosea 4: 6). God has big plans for your life, what do you need to know to live them?

Here we are told that the sons of Isaacar had the knowledge and discernment of the times to recognize what Israel should do. Their knowledge was indispensable for all the people of Israel to lead them in what God intended. Because this is what it is about, God had plans for the people of Israel and the sons of Isaacar had the responsibility to give them the instructions for it. The good news is that for us today the Holy Spirit fulfills this role, He is the One who lives in us and leads us into all truth and announces to us things to come (cf. John 16:13). Your knowledge does not depend on others, but on your relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Having the knowledge and the discernment of the times is essential to live our life as a disciple, it is what prevents us from undergoing events to, on the contrary, be part of those who create them and write history. Knowing the times is no longer being taken by surprise by things. It starts with realizing that God wants to speak to you and lead you through the simpler aspects of life so that you are a blessing to the world around you. There is therefore a responsibility to know how to take the time to seek God, because He wishes to speak to you, in fact He does nothing without having revealed it beforehand (cf. Amos 3: 7)!

The knowledge and discernment of the times is directly related to our revelation of who God is and what He does. When Jesus was here on this earth as a man, that's exactly what He experienced. His actions were the result of His knowledge of what the Father was doing (cf. John 5:19). It makes life much simpler, just do what we see the Father doing in the spiritual world. What is not easier, it costs to know how to take the time to enter into His intimacy, but also to know how to give up our independence to accomplish His will. Are you ready for this, if you do I can guarantee that your actions will be different, to the extent of what you know.

The world around us yearns for the revelation of Christ's disciples (cf. Romans 8:19). They need your knowledge and insight, so don't deprive them of it, ask the Holy Spirit to help you look into eternity so that your knowledge of Christ and His plans grows. Your way of life will be transformed and your world will be impacted ...

God blessed you richly so that you bless abundantly ...
